TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG

william_shakespeare
 That is the question.

What there is no question about is that I have been neglecting you.  I haven’t    been writing.  I haven’t been reading.  You may not miss me or even realize that I’ve been gone.  And some may even be relieved to see one less item in their reader’s to-do list.  Nevertheless, I’m experiencing that twinge of guilt you have when you realize that you haven’t spoken to an old friend for too long.  Do you break the awkward silence or just put it off for another day until it seems almost impossible to reconnect?

I am a really bad friend.  I’m loyal to a fault.  You lie?  I’ll swear by it.  Land your butt in jail?  I’ll bail you out.  Have schmutz on your face?  I’ll let you know right after I take a picture and post it on facebook.  But should you be even the slightest bit needy, you probably want to keep looking before befriending this slacker.  My only lasting relationships thrive on neglect.

That being said, I’ve been floundering.  I’ve been avoiding this place because I am stressed out, lazy, very busy sticking my head in the sand  lack direction.  I’m not really sure exactly what I was thinking when I created this blog other than I found myself with spare time and a desire to write.  I had no idea that I would find friendship in this interwebby world.  But it was friendship I found.  And I cherish those relationships.   I miss having the time to get around and read all the fabulous blogs that I love, not to mention catch up on what my friends are doing.

We all know that this blogging business is a give and take.  My problem is that finding the time to write anything is getting harder and harder.  And finding the time to read all the blogs in my reader……IMPOSSIBLE.

So this is me …… telling you ……. I’m sorry for neglecting you.  I miss you.  I love you.  I’ve sort of fallen and can’t get up.  I’m not sure what’s going to happen in these pages.  They may be abandoned for a long time or forever.  Or who knows, I may be inspired tomorrow and bounce right back.

No matter what, know for sure that I think of you often.

Hugs,
Smart Mouth Broad

I understand. Lately I struggle with writing anything worthwhile. So I don't write anything. But, I think, at this time, we have become familiar enough that if you post something, I will see it and respond. I'll be grateful to know you are still out there. Ebbs and flows. Or is it ebbs and tides. Whatever. Sometimes life make us not as excited about something as we once were. This blog gig has, however, opened the world to us. So, Smart Mouth Broad. When you post, I will read. And if by chance you have time to pop in and visit my meanderings, which probably still won't be anywhere but on another channel of the meanderings, I'll will be most grateful to have your update and hear your voice.

You have a writing talent. If not in a blog, put it to good use somewhere -- even if only in your own journal. I enjoy you and your guts.

Your blogging buddy,
the Midlife Jobhunte (equally insufficient in the blogging world at the moment.)

You're not missing anything over at my place. Have hardly any time to read or comment, let alone write.

But I'm happy to see you over in the book of face. Don't worry about losing your connections.

If you need to chat, let me know. I'm your girl. K?

xoxo

SMB, it's great to hear your voice. I've been wondering what you're up to and how you're doing. So we have made a connection, a friendship. If and when you blog, I'll be over to visit. One of these days, we'll meet in person, I'm sure.

Heading to Tampa today to see an old friend (of 25 years) from San Antonio. Great friendships are rare and those that last, even more so. I think it's like that with blogging buddies too.

I think we all hit that point when we just don't have the time or the inclination to blog. Heck here lately I have had to use prompts to ge tmy brain going. Life has been rolling by and blogging just gets pushed off for another day and then another day...

Well when ever the mood hits ya, I'll still be here enjoying a chance to hear from ya.

Would I leave you because of a "no show" for awhile...I THINK NOT! Now and then is fine with me...you set the pace...I will be here. I would rather hear from you now and again than not at all! That's how friends who love you...are. :)
Lovn'hugs..

I would like to read a bit more on that site soon. By the way, pretty nice design your site has, but don’t you think it should be changed once in a few months?

Thanks for stopping by...I grinned when I saw you..it's been awhile and I don't even care as long as I see you from time to time. You are wise to make your own pace..blog when you wish and don't when you don't feel like it.
I am retired, no children at home..and still I don't like to feel I HAVE to. It's the visiting that can really get you down..so..I think you are doing just fine and dandy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again..I would rather see you now and then then not at all!

One thing is sure: You have been missed for whatever reason! your posts are always witty and great to read. Your comments are just as witty and often to the point, and always much appreciated. I was afraid something had happened to you. So welcome back.

I know what you mean. I dropped out of blogging for more than a year to concentrate on a novel.

Then when I returned (only about a week ago) I was overwhelmed by the kindness and support of many old friends and a host of new ones.

It really is a wonderful kinship.

And what about adding some more illustrations? I’m not trying to offend anyone, content is really great. But according to the scientists humans acquire info much more efficient when they see some helpful pics.
