SMART MOUTH ENEMY #1

You should know something about me. I am loyal to a fault. If I care about you, I've got your back. You lie, I'll swear by it. Your friends are my friends. Your enemies are my enemies.

Now I don't know why but for some reason my family started a war on Friday after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure what the enemy did to bring this on themselves but it must have been BAAAADDD! We drove a truckload full of guns and ammo up to North Carolina to wage war on this public nuisance. It was ugly. It was frightening. It was…………………………FUN!

PUBLIC ENEMY #1

These little clay pigeons look pretty harmless, right? They don't even poop on your window sill. Don't be fooled by their meek appearance. They did something to p*ss off My Harley Stud and his brothers, Brainbuckets and Hammerhead. Being the loyal family members that we are: The rest of us joined in and started shooting. When it was all over there was nary a pigeon left to fly.

MHS won't wear long pants unless it's 20 degrees. Brrrr!

My nephew, GameBoy is a crack shot!
He seldom misses.

We even brought in a real naval officer to help us bring down the enemy.

D1 is campaigning to be the spokeswoman for Carolina Blonde beer. I think she would make a good one, don't you?
D1 says she's a real Carolina girl now. She went to Walmart for beer and ammo.
Here she is getting some last minute tips from Uncle Brainbuckets while Uncle Hammerhead waits patiently. He does look patient, doesn't he?
Oh and she is using my daddy's really old shotgun. Cool, huh?

D2 is taking in all the words of wisdom from her daddy.

Down goes another one!

My new adopted son had never shot a gun before this moment. He fits in just fine now though.

D1 looks happy with her success!

Our military officer takes a break from warfare to hug his beautiful wife.
My children. They make mama so proud!

My grandfather shot skeet and taught my uncle, who will probably teach his son. Well, maybe - he was 50 when his son was born; by the time the kid is old enough to handle a shotgun, my uncle may not be able to see the pigeon.

Your daughters are beautiful, btw!

Mrs. N-We did have a good time, Thanks. And Thank you for stopping by. I hope you'll come back again soon.

Jan-It was a lot of fun. And I didn't bruise too much on the shoulder this time either. LOL

Looks like a bucket o' fun.... I'd really like to try it sometime.

Great looking family too.

Your daughters are beautiful!!! Son is a cutie too (in spite of the NY Giants gear). But I guess I'll forgive him, since he has that sweet smile and all!

What fun! Your daughters are beautiful and look so fashionable while they were shooting...lol. This past weekend we did some of the same while at my sister's. My sister and her husband and daughters have a place on their property set up for target shooting. Their moto is "A family that shoots together, stay's together."

You write good stories with a lot of humour! And your daughters are beautiful! They look like twins. Is this a tradition to go shooting after Thanksgiving?

agreeing with the comment about how fashionable the girls are looking...i would probably do something geeky and injure myself with the scarf, never mind the gun!...and the combination of the two...all standing nearby might be in danger LOL...

and there really is an overpopulation of skeets in the world...good for you for keeping that pesky little critter under control...

That looks like so much fun. And I'm with the commments on your daughters - they are gorgeous, very fashionable, and apparently quite coordinated to shoot with dangling scarves.

When I was young, my dad would take me quail hunting. He used me like a lab, had me run through the brush to scare up the quail. For rewards, after they were done hunting, he and my uncle would set up cans for me to shoot at.

Wow! Great, great shots. And nice pictures, too ;). Your kids are beautiful, you SHOULD be proud.

Totally enjoyed the pics. Your family is just beautiful. That's a great one of your daughter, the gun, and the beer. Sarah Palin has nothing on her! LOL.

You got some purty daughters!

So, ya'll just stand around and shoot guns all day?

BRG-Let me know, you can join us anytime! We probably weren't too far from you...relatively speaking.

Fancy-We only "adopted" him last week so I can't take credit...uh....blame for his poor football choices. He did wear a Manning shirt but the wrong Manning.

Smiles-I like that motto! We may have to steal/borrow it. LOL

RW-Thank you and they are actually 5 1/2 years apart. This was our first Thanksgiving shoot but I think it may become a tradition now.

Thistle-Yes, they are quite the fashionistas. And me...I can't put on a scarf without feeling like I'm playing dress-up. A Plain Jane. I'm a real disappointment. LOL

Snaps for us for decreasing the skeet population!

Pseudo-The girls are smart because they know I've always got my camera!

LOL@you running thru the brush to scare up the quail. I can just see it.

GF-Thank you. I really am a proud mama!

ldb-I relayed your comment! She's truly flattered! She's a SP fan!

Slick-Well, we like em! Yep. That's what we do. Stand around and shoot all day. That and play on the zip line and play volleyball and roast marshmallows in the evening but mostly just shoot!

First of all, you probably need guns to keep the boys away from those beauties and second of all, you know I've got a shooter too and I'm thinking of taking up the sport myself. I wonder if I could convince a jury that I thought my ex husband was an orange clay pigeon?

MLS-Haven't had to use one yet but we've come awfully close and you KNOW what I mean. OOO, that would be fun if you start shooting too. We just keep coming up with more ways to get into trouble. LOL
