So Grateful Sunday

While I am always grateful for the blessings mentioned here that make my life complete, today I am counting the simple joys in my life that add a little kick and make it interesting. (At least to me)

  1. Daddy. Today is his birthday.
  2. The sound of football on my TV. I just love having it on while I work around the house even if I can't sit and watch.
Of course, if the Seminoles are playing, I'm planted up front and center. Even when it's not so good….like last night. …Sigh
  3. My new Blackberry Curve. Tried the Pearl, had trouble after 3 months, died after 5, replaced with refurbished Pearl and died again after 2 months. I'm on day 4 of the Curve. No problems yet. Yippie!
  4. My job. As much as I complain and am driven completely insane by it sometimes, I am blessed to have it and all the perks it allows me.
  5. Frozen custard. There is a place an hour north of where we live that serves this sinfully delicious treat. I guess I should also be grateful that it's so far away or weight loss might be an even bigger challenge.
  6. My Harley Stud's bike. I am really somewhat of a reluctant biker chick with a split personality (I wear pearls with my leather) but we have a lot of fun and are getting ready to leave for a trip soon.
  7. Country roads that curve, go over hills and into valleys. I get tired of the same old flat, straight roads in the area where I live. I love to venture north where the terrain has a little more character.
  8. Spinning. It's good for me. It challenges me. And it kicks my butt. (Should I be grateful for that?)
  9. Sugar snap peas. This is my new favorite snack.
  10. Walks on the beach. And I don't do it often enough. Maybe today…….yes, today.
For what things are you grateful today?

Beautiful things to be grateful for! Today I am most grateful for my husband...he is a forever constant blessing and gift to me. Even with the state of mind I am in right now, he sees so much good in me...where I see imperfections he sees perfection. Even when I am at my worst, he sees my best.
Thank you for this reminder to be grateful at all times!

Smiles - From the things you have said (not just in this comment), I think you have a keeper. And PS - SO DOES HE!

Happy birthday to "daddy" and I hope he has many more. Daddy's are so special and I'm thankful for mine every day. In fact, I'm heading that way today to spend some time with him and take ST fishing. When you take that road trip, head North until you clear the water and then make a sharp left. I'll leave the light on for ya.

MLS - I will tell Daddy....if he'd answer his phone(s). I guess he having too much birthday fun. This trip is an annual trek for MHS so I will have to wait til he falls asleep to make any detours. LOL Someday tho....

Happy Brithday to your daddy! I am intrigued by the custard...

I am grateful for my family and my health, today especially grateful for my daughter. At 19 and a sophmore in college, she stayed home and commutes 20 miles each day to save us the money of dorming. On the way home she does my shopping and errands.

Hmmm, as I write this, I hear football in the other room, along with my kids and their kids and some friends who popped over for an afternoon barbecue. My cat, who escaped over the fence, is now back indoors where she keeps me good company. My yard is mowed and my kitchen smells of bacon and it shouldn't be too hot today in Austin. I'm about to attach the stim machine to my sore neck, and that always makes me feel good. So far, so good. :)

PHST - Will do. Oh yeah, the custard is so yummy! And you are a lucky mom. D2 is 6 hours away. Too far to commute.

Nana - I think I would rather be at your house today. Sounds very cozy and much better than the packing job I'm doing. (with football in the background)

Thistle - I want your Sunday. It doesn't look like I'll have one tho for about 3 weeks. But someday...

Daddy says thank you to all his well wishers. He reads my blog but hasn't figured out how to read the comments yet. LOL
