AND THEY SAID WE’D NEVER LAST

Today is the 28th anniversary of the day I married the love of my life, the center of my universe, the apple of my eye and sometimes the pain in my arse. (Love ya, Honeeeey) Wow! Twenty-eight years have flown. You might think that someone who has been married that long is old. Not me. I got married at eight. Yep, I'm from the country. We do things like that. Yep, 36 years old. That's me. I wanted to say 27 but that just didn't make any sense at all. Dang it.

Yesterday I tricked you into thinking I was going to reveal my true image. Then I got even more flack encouragement to show my mug here. So because I'm in a really good mood, ready to celebrate our TWENTY-EIGHT years of wedded bliss and I have loads to accomplish today and no time to write a decent anniversary-worth post, I will share our pictures from our fun time at Parent's Weekend last week.

I warn you though. This is going to completely change our relationship. After today, the mystery is gone.

We started the day by tailgating after a late breakfast. There's nothing like a good game of flip-cup with your college kid to bond as a family.

Remember the olive story?

MHS is a favorite dad to all kids.

This is the Unconquered statue in front of the stadium.

I think this one is our 2008 Christmas card.

You are one gorgeous woman Smart Mouth. With an incredibly attractive family. I like how everyone looks so happy and enjoying each other's company. The last one definately looks like Christmas card material.

Happy Anniversary to you and MHS!

How cool is that??? Thanks for the great pics. You have a beautiful family. 28 years, eh? Amazing in this day and age. I have been married thrice over, married first time for 10 years, second time for 6, and this time (so far) for four. My parents, on the other hand, have been married for 58 years. The secret to their success? My long-suffering mother's patience. LOL J/k. They still hold hands; it's too cute. Congratulations!

Pseudo-Gee,thanks. We were having a great time. And I think that will be our Christmas card this year. I might even mail them out this time. LOL

Vodka Mom-Thank you so much.

Mama-You should do what my mother did and add all the years together and say it's your 21st next year.

Thanks, everyone, for your wishes and compliments.

Brandy-I will pass on your message to the subjects of the 3rd pic. She will be pleased as she is a fan of yours. Her major is elementary education.

Jan-Aww shucks, ma'am. LOL I don't know what you're talking about. We just saw your beautiful picture on your blog!

What great pictures (especially that one of the Florida State field . . .). And your family -- as my late great Uncle Merle used to say, not an ugly one in the bunch! The things you do together today will create such precious memories for the future. Good for you, and congrats again on the anniversary.

Nana-Thank you and your Uncle Merle.

Thistle-Thank you for your kind words. Isn't it great that the picture has Christmas colors too. Garnet and the green field. :-)

Bear-Yes, now if I can make myself sit down and actually send the cards out this year, I'll be doing real good. *sigh*

Gee, I know what you look like and can't tell which one is you and which ones are your daughters. You look great!

You are beautiful. I'm not so sure we can still be friends, as I typically like to surround myself by women who look older than me and are less attractive. Not gonna work in your case. Hmmmmm...I guess we can give it a try, since you like college football and tailgating, I can probably get passed the beautiful thing.

All kidding aside - Great family!
