BEHIND THE 8 BALL

EIGHT BALL

I was tagged by Jane of Gaston Studio for a game of 8 tag. I just love Jane and her stories and this game sounded like a lot of fun. So here we go:

8 things I'm looking forward to: (in no particular order)

1. Nelson DeMille's new book. I copied this from Jane. I didn’t even know that Nelson DeMille had a new book coming out but he’s my favorite so I copied and I’m proud of it. Sorry, Jane.
2. My kitchen completed.
3. Getting the floors finished. I copied this one from Jane too but deleted two letters. :-)
4. An economic recovery.
5. Losing 40 lbs.
6. Getting a wii. Somehow, some way…..
7. Retirement (At this rate, it will never happen)
8. World peace :-)

8 things I did yesterday:

1. Blogged.
2. Worked.
3. Ate too much.
4. Went to the post office on April 15th. Definitely not the smartest thing I’ve ever done.
5. Twittered. Tweeted. Twibbled.
6. Loved on my animals.
7. Caught up a bit on the shows recorded on our tivo.
8. Prayed.

8 things I wish I could do:

1. Travel abroad. Or with some broads.
2. Win the lottery. Oops, there I go copying Jane again.
3. Become completely debt-free.
4. Sing like Jennifer Nettles. (In my head, I already do)
5. Get a degree in American History.
6. Speak Spanish, French, German and Dutch. (Jane’s idea again)
7. Wake up tomorrow a size 6 and fit as a fiddle.
8. Play the piano beautifully. (instead of the way I play now - eek)

8 shows I watch:

1. 24
2. Dancing with the Stars
3. Friday Night Lights
4. Leverage
5. The Mentalist
6. Samantha Who?
7. NCIS
8. Life on Mars

8 people I tag:

1. Midlife Slices
2. Jan’s Sushi Bar
3. My Life Interrupted
4. Crone and Bear It
5. Only a Movie
6. Wsprsweetly of Cottages
7. City Girl Moves to Oz
8. And anyone else who wants to play

If you didn’t already think so before, now you know just how really boring I truly am.

Post your own answers to the questions in each category, including 8 people you want to tag. Have fun!

Your answers weren't boring! Twibbled? What might that be?

This post makes me sad!!! I never did get to learn how to tweet, twat or tweb - and now it is unpossible to do it from here!

AND, I have never heard of any of your shows except for the first two! I am missing out on valuable TV!

You're not boring! I read it through to the end, didn't I? Believe me! I have the attention span of a 3 year old, if you were boring, I wouldn't be here!

If you lost 40 lbs, my guess you would be far smaller than size 6! Yikes, SMB.

Thanks for tagging me. I've been needing some content. :-D

BV-twibble is a twitter app that I'm trying out on my phone. I also use twitterberry. I'm not completely thrilled about either one. *sigh*

Michel-What! No twitter in Sudan! That's just wrong. That and poop in the air. Geesh!

Movie-You'd be surprised. I thought you like the memes. :-)

Oh, the PRESSURE!

Okay, I'll do it one day next week. By the time I'm done, you'll realize just what an exciting life you really lead.

An assignment? Am I back in school? YOU are the psychic, right? Our television shows will be exactly the same except I've never heard of Leverage and I need to watch some early episodes of 24 to get in to it. O.k. so our shows aren't exactly the same but close.

40 lbs? Girl, you'd have to run around in the shower to get wet if you lost 40 pounds!

Thanks for an easy post for a lazy day. muah!

Oh, what fun! Thank you so much for sharing. (Grin) You are such an interesting person!

Ah, just now, as I'm writing this, there is a squirrel upon one of the wires connecting house to electricity--he sways there, stock still--with a BIG nut in his mouth. I think he thinks you are interesting, too. (grin)

Have a perfectly marvelous day!

G'morning, Sweetcakes! How do I get the ..8 ball to my blog! I 'm SORRY! I know I am a pain in the rear..but..and how do I make a link from from my post to the person I am mentioning...HELP! I will go see if I can find some answers...I'm sorry. This will be fun if I ever learn all the in's and out's. I am not REAL swift on some things... (like you didn't know!)

Hmmm, lists of 8 will not be as entertaining as yours, I am sure. LOL.

I like crone and bear it's idea -- one category, 8 fav flavors of ice cream... easy. Kerplunk.

Twitter does not serve me well in rural-land either. My cell phone doesn't even have a signal, for one. For two, I just really don't have a very interesting life to twitter about.

Ok, I'll stop whining and get on it sometime early next week! :-)

Have a super-ific weekend!

I started writing you a comment hours ago and kept getting distracted by phone calls! While on the phone I could not figure out how to get out of here so if there are any half written comments...that's why! I love your answers and it's funny that you copied GS's. That woman is a talented writer. My husband and I are 24 ADDICTS! It starts with a phone call to my in-laws one half hour before the show starts to remind them (their getting forgetful) and it goes from T-minus 30 minutes to show time! It's a big deal...is the popcorn ready?...copy that...do we have cold soda in place...10-4...where's the remote?...is it turned up loud? No phone calls are taken for that hour...no distrations...nothing...because JACK is on. As I was reading your list and GS's list, I was feeling sorry for myself and thinking..no one ever tags me!:(:(...are you feeling sorry for me yet??? Of course if someone did, they'd have to explain to me how to do it too! I am so new to all this, I had to look up Twitter the other day to see what it was? Don't ya love newcomers? "sigh" BTW..you all write so often I have to take a couple hours to catch up so Whoops...just took another call and pasta is overflowing on the stove...God this is hard!:)

OK - Did it, posted it now so I can take the weekend off - hope I did it justice - it was hard for me to come up with all those 8's. Hugs!

Dearest Girl :)...Finally I get around to a personal note...I just started to read through all the prayers and good wishes sent to us after the accident, and your good name was amongst them. I am touched, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you for your kindness and healing help....
with great affection,
Braja xx

Also? You play piano? How did I miss that?

Listen here SMB, you are the furthest thing from boring! Great lists of 8...I will get to mine in the near future.

40 pounds? Are you kidding? You'd fly off the back of the Harley if you did that.

You can go back to twibbling now.

Hey girl, I am HONORED that you copied a couple of my wishes and I'm with Pseudo, willing to travel with you any day!

Couldn't you just bang Nelson on the head for not writing faster!!!

Jan-If you only knew how really dull it is around here. *sigh*

MLS-As a matter of fact you were just in school this week, weren't you? An assignment was in order, I thought.

Leverage is a show starring Timothy Hutton. Find it. I think it's on TBS. and now in HD. (That's important to MHS)

LiLu-I like your new pic. Hope you're having a great time in Charleston.

BethN-You crack me up.

C&B-Sorry, that's not the game. *wink*

Mona-See how you're learning. Did you figure it all out yet? I can email you directions, if not.

Pseudo-Wouldn't that be great!

Lo-The girls and I all love Samantha Who.

OzG-You know that you don't have to twitter on your phone. you can twitter from your 'puter' too. twitter dot com

Debbie-LMAO! I hope you didn't burn dinner.

C&B-See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

Braja-xoxoxo! I'm so glad to see you out and about

Movie-I took six years of piano lesson and have no real talent to show for it. I struggle with every piece but if I can practice enough can "master" the easy stuff.

Smiles-I look forward to it.

Liar-I wish that were true. I like to think it's all muscle. *cough cough*

Jane-We should start planning THAT trip. MHS likes to listen to Nelson on his ipod while he's working too. We're big fans. The Rocket Scientist turned me on to ND.

I like these kind of posts! So interesting! ;-)
